Welcome to the Rip It and Sip It Invitational! To ensure a fair and fun event for all friends who play golf together, please familiarize yourself with the official tournament rules. These guidelines are designed to create an enjoyable experience on the course.

Frequently asked questions about the rules

We've compiled answers to common questions about the Rip It and Sip It Invitational rules. If you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact the tournament committee. Our goal is to make sure everyone understands the play.

What are the key rules for how the golf tournament will be played?

  • Two off the 1st tee everyday if needed.
  • One club length in your fairway and closely mown area through the green.
  • Play it down in rough, bunkers, and hazards.
  • Rock/root rule is in effect. No closer to the hole and must remain in the same terrain. You cannot move from woods to rough or rough to fairway, etc.
  • Bunkers: If your ball is in a bunker that wasn't raked, you may lift the ball, rake the bunker, and place the ball back in the same location.
  • Out of bounds or lost balls - play as a red line lateral hazard
  • Putts - putt them out.  No gimmies.
  • Score cards - match cards and turn both cards in.  Keep seperate card for side bets
  • Pace of play - keep up with the group in front of you.  If you fall behind play ready golf.

How will winners be decided, and what are the prizes?

Winners will be decided after every round.  Format will be provided for each day prior to the tournaament dates.  Check your email and text messages.
